В 1276 году командир византийского флота рыцарь Ликарио выбил венецианцев со Скопелоса и занял остров. На острове начинается длинный период пиратских набегов. Пираты делают его своей базой, поскольку его месторасположение идеально подходит для морского разбоя: суда, отплывавшие из порта Салоник, проходили или через пролив между Скопелосом и соседним Алонисом или огибали Скопелос с востока, проходя между ним и островом Скиафос.
Бухты Панормос и Бло и сегодня представляют собой идеальное место, где мореход может укрыться от бурь. Там и устраивали стоянку для своих парусников пираты. Среди них была и единственная женщина-пират Адрина, наводившая страх на весь север Эгейского моря.
История, которую вы прочтете, подлинная и дошла до нас, передаваясь из уст в уста. Рассказывает она о печальном конце единственной атаманши, плававшей некогда по греческим морям.
Адрина и ее товарищи только что ограбили венецианский корабль, полный золота. Они приплыли в Бло, и стали готовиться праздновать, как делали всегда после каждого удачного набега. Они высадились в бухте Панормос и отправились в столицу Скопелоса за вином и едой. При корабле оставили только атаманшу Адрину. Никто из местных все равно не отважился бы к ней приблизиться.
Между тем пираты поднялись на Муртеро, прошли Аликьяс и Потами и дошли до церквушки Богоматери Воительницы. Это небольшая часовня, построенная на холме Певкья, стоит там до сих пор. У жителей был праздник, и они танцевали у церкви.
Корсары присоединились к танцу, напевая подозрительную песню. Те из местных, кто не были пьяны и поняли ее скрытый смысл, быстро разбежались и спрятались вокруг.
Резня не заставила себя ждать. Но, как только первый житель деревни упал мертвым, появилась Богородица с мечом в руке, а попрятавшиеся селяне осмелели и погнали пиратов, пока не закололи их всех.
Как только Адрина узнала, что ее товарищи пропали, он вытащила на берег сокровище и затопила корабль в Бло.
Ей понадобилось несколько часов, чтобы спрятать сокровище. Закончив, она поднялась на скалу рядом с входом в бухту Панормос и бросилась в море. С тех пор это место называется Адрина.
Говорят, сокровище Адрины было огромным. Там была и золотая свинья с поросятами, которую до сих пор ищут жители этих мест, да и многие другие, приезжающие на остров специально для этого.
