Die Piratenfrau Adrina

Im Jahre 1276 eroberte der Oberbefehlshaber des Byzantinischen Heeres Ritter Licario Skopelos und verdrängte die Eneten. Ein langjähriger Piratenfeldzug fängt seit dem in Skopelos an. Die Piraten machten Skopelos zu ihren Hauptquartier, weil es die perfekte Lage für ihre Räubereien hat. Die Schiffe die aus dem Hafen von Thessaloniki ihre Route anfingen und in Richtung Süden segelten würden entweder in der Enge Skopelos-Alonisos vorbei kommen oder Östlich zwischen Skiathos-Skopelos.

Panormos und Mplo waren wie auch heute ein idealer Platz um sich vor den Nortwinden zu schützen. Genau an diesem Platz waren auch die Segelschiffe der Piraten. Unter ihnen auch die einzige Piratfrau. Ihr Name war Antrina, gefürchtet in ganz Nort Ägais.

In der Geschichte die gleich folgt, die eine wahre Begebenheit ist und die sich aus Erzählungen bis zum heutigen Tag bewährt, wird das tragische Ende der einzigen Piratenfrau die die griechischen Meere je hatte erzählt.

Die Piratenfrau Antrina und ihr Gefolge hatten gerade ein Enetisches Handelsschiff voller Gold beraubt. Als sie in Mplo ankamen wollten sie ihre Beute feiern, wie sie es immer machten nach einem erfolgreichen Angriff. Die Piraten gingen an Land in Panormos und liefen zur Chora von Skopelos um Wein und Essen zu besorgen. Am Hafen ließen sie den Kapitän Antrina allein zurück den keiner der Einheimischen hatte den Mut ihr nahe zu kommen.

Die Piraten liefen zum Mourtero, vorbei an Alikia und Potami und kamen an die Kirche der Heiligen Mutter Gottes der Kämpferin an. Dies ist eine kleine Kapelle die noch heute aufzufinden ist. Erbaut auf den Hügel von Pevkia. Die Skopelen hatten da ein Fest und waren am Tanzen im Hof der Kapelle.

Die Piraten fingen auch an zu tanzen und sangen dabei ein komisches Lied. Die Einheimischen die nicht betrunken waren und die Worte des Liedes verstanden hatten, liefen schnell weg und versteckten sich.

Kurz darauf holten die Piraten ihre Schwerter raus und erstachen den ersten Skopelen. Als der erste Skopele Tod zu Boden Fiel passierte das Wunder. Die Heilige Mutter Gottes erschien mit einem Schwert in der Hand. Die Leute die sich versteckt hatten machte dies Mut und kamen aus ihren verstecken Raus und griffen die Piraten an bis sie jeden von ihnen umgebracht hatten.

Als die Piratenfrau Antrina erfuhr das ihren Männern was zugestoßen war, holte sie das ganze Gold an Land und versenkte das Schiff.

Es dauerte Stunden um den Schatz zu verstecken. Als sie fertig war stieg die Piratenfrau zu einer Klippe nahe der Bucht von Panormou und fiel ins Wasser.

Seit dem hat die Gegend den Namen Antrina.

Man sagt, dass der Schatz der Piratenfrau Antrina sehr groß war. Er hatte sogar eine Goldene Skulptur einer Sau mit ihren Ferkeln. Nicht nur die Einheimischen suchen noch immer nach dieser Skulptur, sondern auch die Besucher der Insel die deswegen die Insel besuchen.
