Die Jagd nach dem leckersten Fasan

Seltene Art und ausgewähltes Jagdziel. Sein lateinischer Name:

Phasianus colchicus

Der Fasan gehört zu der Familie der Hühner, den Truthahn, den Perlhuhn, den Pfau, den Rebhuhn und den Wachteln.

Er ist ein Vogel mittleren bis großen Maßes, er hat einen schweren Körper, kurze,  breite und rundliche Flügel. Seine Nase ist stark und hat eine Rundung nach unten. Die männlichen Tiere haben ausgeprägte Farben und die weiblichen haben Erdfarben.

Auf Skopelos gibt es eine große Anzahl von Fasanen die überwiegend auf der Höhe von Palouki zu finden sind.  Es ist sogar sicher, dass sie einen männlichen Fasan begegnen wenn sie sich entscheiden einen Morgenspaziergang zu tätigen. Vor allem im Frühling oder im Herbst in der Nähe der Klöster agioi Anargiri oder der Heiligen Anna. Aber auch im Sommer ist es vorgekommen, dass wir oft weiblichen Fasanen begegnet sind vor allem in der Nähe der Höhe von Palouki. Dabei hat uns sehr beeindruckt, dass diese nicht verängstigt waren und so die Möglichkeit hatten sie lange zu beobachten und die Aussicht zu den Nachbarinseln Skantzoura (nicht bewohnt) und der wunderschönen und touristischen Alonisos zu bewundern. 

Der Fasan ist tagaktiv und ein Bewohner weiter Feldfluren, unterbrochen von Gehölzen oder Wasserläufen, und findet daher in der landwirtschaftlichen Kulturlandschaft ausreichende Lebensräume vor. Er kann nicht gut fliegen ist aber ein guter Läufer. Er fliegt nur bei Gefahr und bei Regen sogar überhaupt nicht. Er hat eine ausgeprägte auditive und visuelle Wahrnehmung. Der Fasan baut Nester am Boden damit er im Falle einer Gefahr schnell entkommen kann. Er legt 8 bis 15 Eier die eine ölbraune bis graugrüne Farbe haben. Der Fasan ist ein Allesfresser. Seine Ernährung ist überwiegen zu 80% aus pflanzlichen und zu weniger als 20%  aus tierischen Bestandteilen. Er ist ein sehr monogames Tier.

 

Vorsicht: Die Jagd auf Fasane ist nur für einen kurzen Zeitraum im Jahr erlaubt.
