Während der Türkenherrschaft, Missionen von Jesuiten kamen nach  Griechenland. Diese Europäer gaben uns interessanten Beschreibungen über Gebiete Griechenlands, die in einer Reihe von Bändern 1753 veröffentlicht wurden. Einer dieser Jesuiten war  Francois Braconnier. Er besuchte Skopelos  ungefähr 1706. In seinen Erringrungen schreibt er seine Eindrücke über Skopelos die um diesen Zeitpunkt blühte.

In Wirklichkeit ist sie eine kleine Insel deren Umkreis größer als 30 Meilen ist, ihre Felder sind gut bearbeitet. Sie hat ungefähr 8-10.000 Bewohner, die meisten von ihnen leben in einer schönen Stadt die keinen besonderen Namen hat.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;">Es wird gesagt, dass vor 200 Jahren die Insel unbewohnt war und der Küchenchef oder der Chefbäcker des Schlosses unter deren Besitz die Insel war, Griechen her brachte um sie zu besiedeln. Die Skopeler hatten den Vorteil denn keine andere Insel während der Türkenherrschaft hatte, sie hatte keinen ungläubigen der auf der Insel wohnte. Sie können ungestört die Glocken der Kirche läuten und Kreuze überall auf den Strassen und den Hügeln stellen. Wenn sie für ihre Gerichtlichen Angelegenheiten einen Türkischen Richter brauchen, sind sie nicht Verpflichten ihn mehr als drei Tage zu verpflegen.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">   </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;">Sie haben einen griechischen Bischoff der die Kirche von Skiathos leitet. Skopelos hat wenig <span style="mso-tab-count: 1;">       </span>Weizen, aber als Ausgleich dafür hat sie viel Wein. Es ist ein roter Wein, dunkel mit einer schönen Farbe, der Geschmack ihres Weines ist nicht befriedigend, denn um den Wein zu erhalten schmieren sie eines der Daube der großen Fässer mit raffiniertem Pech,<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>so bekommt der Wein einen Geschmack vom Pech der nicht gut schmeckt. Seitdem die Eneten Herrscher waren kauften sie Wein, die Franzosen haben viel vom Handel gewonnen. Sie transportierten den Wein nach Kerkyra und Thessaloniki. In Skopelos wird auch<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>ein wenig Weiswein produziert der sehr gut schmeckt, so gut wie der Raki der vom Roten Wein oder<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>vom Weintreber hergestellt wird. Auf dieser Insel sieht man fliesendes Wasser fließen. Sie ist voll von Zedern, Zitronenbäume, Orangenbäume und anderen Bäumen deren Früchte ausgezeichnet schmecken.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;">Die Insel war wegen ihrer Stelle geeignet, um sie als Grundlage meiner Wanderungen zu benutzen. Ich hatte es eilig denn acht Tage waren schon vorbei um Franzosen anzuregen, so setzte ich meine Reise nach Evia fort. </span></p>

Es gibt viele Birnenarten, ihre Form ist die gleiche die eines Apfels. Die Farbe der Birne Äußerlich ist hellgrün, gelblich, leicht gelb, grün, rot, je nach Art. Innerlich ist ihr Fleisch weis, weicher als die des Apfels und süßer.</span></span></p>

Die wichtigste Art in Skopelos ist die Krystallia, sie wiegt 100-130 gram. Ihre Farbe ist gelbgrün und ihr Fleisch ist weis. Die Bekannten Kondoules sind mittelgroß und wiegen<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>60-90 gram. Ihre Farbe Äußerlich ist leicht grün, sie riechen und schmecken sehr gut. Man findet sie aber schwer auf dem Markt, weil sie<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>empfindlich während des Transportes sind und deshalb sind sie auch Teuer.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;"><span style="font-size: small;">Ich habe neulich entdeckt, dass der Birnenbaum außer seinen guten Geschmack auch anders verwendet wird und das möchte ich ihnen erzählen.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;"><span style="font-size: small;">In vielen Plätzen von Griechenland als auch in den Sporaden werden Ortsnamen so wie &lt;&lt;auf den erhöhten Birnenbaum&gt;&gt; oder &lt;&lt;auf den erhöhten Platanen&gt;&gt; gesagt. Es handelt sich um Ortsnamen von uralten Bäume die davon gekennzeichnet sind und aus irgendeiner Weise Stärke bekommen haben und als Beschützer eines Ortes gelten.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;"><span style="font-size: small;">Die Sitte mit dem &lt;&lt;erhöhten&gt;&gt; und &lt;&lt;versiegelten&gt;&gt; wie die Bäume genant werden, gehören einer alten Weise das Böse zu verjagen. An das Loch in dem der Stamm des Baumes ist,<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>fesselt sich die Epidemie die einem Wohnort angreift, die sich symbolisch in einem Materialen Gegenstand vereinigte, so wie Fäden aus den Kleidungen von kranken. Will man das Böse<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>besiegen muss man das Loch mit Stöpsel vom selben Baum fühlen.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;"><span style="font-size: small;">Gleichzeitig mit den &lt;&lt;erhöhten&gt;&gt; gibt es auch die &lt;&lt;gekreuzten&gt;&gt; Baum der seine Stärke dem eingeschnittenen oder angenageltem Kreuz im Stamm des Baumes schuldet.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;"><span style="font-size: small;">Heute noch in manchen Orten bleiben die Kreuze auf<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>den Birnenbäumen oder den Platanen, um so die Örtliche Tradition zu verewigen. </span></span></p>

Als ich noch Schüler der Grundschule in Skoplos war, bevorzugte ich die Milia. Ich meine nicht die Milia  die Tochter unseres Nachbarn, sondern den süßen Apfelbaum, den Baum der unseren Garten schmückt.

Obwohl sich von Anfang an eine Freundschaft zwischen uns entwickelte kann ich nicht sagen, dass wir uns gut kannten. Ich kann mich noch sehr gut an das erste Mal erinnern, als der Apfelbaum blühte. Ich lehnte mich mit geöffneten Augen an seinem Stamm, sah den weis geschmückten Baum voller erstaunen an und fragte mich was das für ein Baum wäre.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;"><span style="font-size: small;">Später habe ich festgestellt, dass es den Namen Milia in vielen Plätze auf der Insel gab, als auch in anderen Orten Griechenlands.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Ich habe gelernt, dass es in Griechenland viele Dörfer mit Namen von Bäumen gibt, so wie Amigdalia, Sykia, Karydia, Flamouria, Kyparissi, Kastania und noch mehr. Nur hier in Skopelos gibt es 14 Dörfer und Bezirke mit diesen Namen. Hier muss ich erwähne, dass der Apfelbaum in unserem Land seit 600 bevor Christi gepflanzt wurde. Skopelos ist nicht nur für seine Pflaumen sondern auch für seine Apfelbäume bekannt.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span></span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;"><span style="font-size: small;">Es wird gesagt, dass der Name aus einem homerischen Word Mila, der Ziegenschaff bedeutet stammt.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;"><span style="font-size: small;">In der griechischen Mythologie kommt der Apfel häufig vor, so wie in den Mythos des Herkules ­“die Äpfel der Esperiden” oder in Iliada der Apfel den Paris Afrodite anbot.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;"><span style="font-size: small;">Von vielen Gefäßen als auch von Photos, sieht man die große Göttin mit einer Schlange um ihrer Hand, die Schlange wird mit dem heiligen Baum verbunden, den Baum des Lebens, der mythische Baum der mitten im Garten der Esperiden wächst, der Apfelbaum deren Frucht ewige Jugend schenkt, der Baum wird<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>von einer Drachenschlange beschützt die rundherum um ihren Stamm liegt. Mit dem heiligen Baum sind auch die Vögel die ihre Nestern im Baum haben verbunden,<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>später kommen sie als heilige Vögel der Götter in Olymps vor. </span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;"><span style="font-size: small;">Im Altertum wird der Wurf eines Apfels als ein erotisches Zeichen erklärt, der verliebte schickt den Apfel seiner Liebsten, es wird aber auch als Hochzeitsversprechung erklärt. Außer den Wunsch oder der erotischen Herausforderung nimmt der Apfel gefangen jeden der ihn empfängt. Der Apfel war immer ein erotisches Symbol. Viele sprechen über die erotische Bedeutung des Apfels und der Offenbarung ihrer Liebe mit einem Äpfelschuss, von Aristophanes bis zum Loukiano, von den Attika Gefäßen bis zu den rotförmigen Gefäßen im Norden von Italien im 5. Jahrhundert vor Christus.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span></span></span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;"><span style="font-size: small;">Vor weniger Zeit habe ich herausgefunden, dass der Zitronenbaum gezüchtet wird und wasseraufnehmend ist, er stammt aus<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>wilden Arten, so wie der Zitrusbaum und der Mandarinenbaum. Es ist unbekannt wann die Bäume gekreuzt worden sind.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">          </span>,,Die Zitrusfrucht ist diejenige, die vom Plinion in der Physik Geschichte<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>(XII, vii.15) bis zum malum medicum<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>als die &#8220;medizinische Frucht&#8221; erwähnt wird. Es ist die erste Zitrusfrucht die im Mittelmeer bekannt war.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;"><span style="font-size: small;">Der Zitronenbaum wächst bis zu 6 Meter hoch und sogar in Höhen (20 Füße hoch)<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>meistens aber wird er nicht so hoch. «Ich bin nie gewachsen, ich bin klein wie der Zitronenbaum geblieben» sagte man über manche Frauen die nicht hoch waren.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;"><span style="font-size: small;">Seine Zweige haben Stacheln und bilden eine offene Krone. Seine Blätter sind Grün, glänzen und haben die Form einer Bildungslücke. Seine Blühten sind weis und ihnen werden sie Lila. Der Zitronenbaum trägt seine Früchte und seine Blüten gleichzeitig. Die Form der Zitrone ist eiförmig und ihre Enden sind spitzig. Wenn sie reif sind haben sie eine lebhaft gelbe Farbe.</span></span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;"><span style="font-size: small;">Die Zitronenbäume wachsen in tropischen und gemäßigtem Klima, bei kleinen Temperaturen hallt sie nicht<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>lange aus. Die geeignetste Temperatur für die Bäume<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">   </span>ist<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>zwischen15 und 30 °C (60–85 °F) sie brauchen viel Sonnenschein. Die Erde muss fruchtbar und trocken sein. Die Zitronenbäume brauchen viel Wasser, man muss sie aber trocken lassen bevor man sie wieder Begießt.</span></span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;"><span style="font-size: small;">Das Klima ist ein wichtiger Grund, der diese Bäume hier bei uns gedeihen lässt, aber auch das Skopelische Wasser ist<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>für die Zitronenbäume geeignet.</span></span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;"><span style="font-size: small;">Die Äste des Zitronenbaums wachsen und hängen runter, so wie bei anderen Zitrusbäumen. Der Baum hat viele Früchte während das ganze Jahre.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>Er ist sehr empfindlich. Er wird von einer schrecklichen Pilzkrankheit angegriffen die den Baum zum sterben führt. Mich Beindrücktee, dass mit der Verbreitung der Zitronenbäume manche Gebiete in Skopelos Wasserprobleme bekamen. </span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE;"><span style="font-size: small;">Das begießen der Zitronenbäume ist eine schwierige Sache, sagen uns die Produzenten. Natürlich brauchen die Bäume auch andere Pflege. Zwei bis drei mal im Jahr muss der Baum umgraben werden, das Umkraut muss gesäubert werden, vier bis fünf mal wird Düngermittel verwenden, Beschneiden, Zerstäubern und acht bis zehn mal muss man auf den Baum klettern, um die guten Zitronen für den Export zu sammeln, das beginnt Anfang September und geht bis Ende Februar.</span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Heutzutage eine Ölwerkstatt ist nur erhalten geblieben in den Dörfern von Skopelos und das im Dorf Klima, die aber seit März 1967 nicht mehr tätig ist. Sie befindet sich in der nähe des Dorfes Glossa,<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>ihre südwestlichen Seite sieht nach Skiathos und ihre nördliche Seite sieht nach Evia. Es loht sich diese Ölwerkstatt (die sich zwischen den zwei Dörfern befindet) zu besuchen und die Ölprodukte aus dem örtlichen Öl zu probieren.</span></p>

Es war einbisschen schwer von den vielen Leuten am Haus des Bischofs anzukommen, wo der König am Abend Leute empfangen wollte. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: Arial; mso-ansi-language: DE; mso-bidi-font-style: italic;">Die Bewohner von Skopelos (Skopeler, Skopelianer) haben ein schönes Profil und führen ein gutes Leben. Die Theorie der Frauen ist ohne Gültigkeit, weil sie so wie die Frauen aus Patmos ihre Brust<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">  </span>mit einem Gürtel ganz nahe an ihren Achseln wickeln damit ihr Körper ganz steif ist, so schaute der Kopf und die Hände einfach heraus.
